My Winter wardrobe so far…

For those of you who follow me on Instagram @arthursmum_style, it may be obvious that I made a few (honestly only a few!) Black Friday purchases a couple of weeks ago. I tried to be really good and just stick with items I could wear this Winter. I’ve had too many regretful ‘I’ll definitely wear that next season’ buys which have then been discarded and barely worn!

Mango have so many gorgeous jumpers in this season, and in so many prints and colours. Here’s what I ended up with:

Mango//Cotton sweater//£29.99

Mango//Embossed polka-dot sweater//£29.99

Here’s another gorgeous chunky knit I didn’t end up buying but still have my eye on (I may be waiting for the Christmas sales for this one!):

Mango//Ribbed detail sweater//£39.99

I’ve also gone a bit jacket/coat mad lately – mainly because I only seemed to own ‘mum coats’. Which are fine (for the school run or on a muddy walk), but as the weather is getting colder and coats are pretty much the focal point of any outfit in the Winter, I wanted to have more of a choice in different prints, colours and styles.

These first two are both from Mango…I’m not sure I’m 100% comfortable in leopard print yet, but this jacket is lovely and warm, and surprisingly versatile:

Mango//Animal design jacket//£39.99

Adding to my (faux) leather jacket collection, but in a lovely dark green (they have this version in loads of colours):

Mango//zipped biker jacket//£49.99

For any mums out there who might be interested, this grey MAMA sweatshirt is from @rachaelkellett on Instagram.

I did also see this one, it looks so warm and cosy, and I love the speckled grey colour:

Mango//Faux-fur lapels jacket//£59.99

Now this jacket from River Island has to be one of my favourite purchases in the last couple of months. I love that the borg ‘lining’ is on the outside (even if my son thinks I look like a sheep!) and it’s so so so warm.

River Island//Cream borg aviator jacket//£85

Lastly, and to carry on with the coat theme, this classic coat from Oasis. It may be on the pricey side, but I’m hoping it will be an investment, as I don’t think the cut or style will ever look dated.

Oasis//Kimberly Car coat//£98

(not on Black Friday but I had a special discount on this one)

A couple of outfits I’ve styled it with so far:

This really is such a great coat as it will go with anything and the colour is lovely and neutral.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with my choices, although I did spy a couple of fabulous jumpers on the H&M website recently, and there just happens to be a new mega-store open in Bluewater which is where I’m headed tomorrow…!

You had some great purchases – excellent work over Black Friday! I particularly love the Mango zebra print sweatshirt and the Oasis camel coat. I’ve been searching high and low for the ‘one’ camel coat but can’t never quite decide!
